The Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel created AVAFEST in ​2018, and this year will be our 6th annual event. However, this year ​our funds are very low. Despite our efforts to get our

festival going we need to raise additional funds in order to ensure ​that once again AVAFEST happens. In the past, our festival has ​been endorsed by the VFW, Military Order of the Purple

Heart, DAV, the Mayors of the City of Austin, and the Texas ​Veterans Commission, but our funding has always come mostly ​from our grassroots sponsors, organizations and a few other

companies dedicated to saving veterans lives.


We have an urgent need for Sponsorship Funds for several Special ​Programs for AVAFEST 2024.

The Veterans Arts and Wellness Network


This Roku Television Channel is accessible online by any device ​that can access the internet. We are in dire need of keeping this ​aspect of the Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel broadcasting ​wellness to veterans 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our ​broadcasts include health and wellness videos, short ​documentaries about veterans and military life, entertaining ​shows, vital information and therapies for those affected by PTSD. ​Each year, we broadcast the previous AVAFEST projects on the ​channel. This year, it is our intention to LIVE broadcast a few ​choice events. The price to pay for broadcasting alone is $299.00 ​per month, $3,600.00 per year. We would like to contract/hire a ​veteran or veteran family member to work part time as a Channel ​Manager at a cost of $600 per month, $7,200 per year.

Broadcast Sponsorship for a year at $10,800 gets your ​company/organization name and logo prominently on the channel ​and a 20-second “Thank you Messages” that will appear on the ​channel and the website broadcasts to our viewers at minimum 10 ​times per day. Also, a blast and thank you will be aired on our ​social media outlets and websites throughout the year.

BEDSIDE MAGIC and COMEDY SHOW


We would like to find a sponsor who will fund this show which is designed to ​be produced in 2024. The idea is to have a magician and/or a comic visit ​veterans at military and veteran hospital for 5-10 minutes to entertain those ​who are well enough to benefit from their own private show in their room. ​Also, a show can be done in a day room at the facility for both patients and ​staff that would last about 15 to 30 minutes. This show is about letting ​hospitalized veterans and military personnel and staff know that they are not ​forgotten and to bring a little cheer and magic into their lives. Both the ​Magicians, Jason Morel and Bill Schmeek and the Comedian (TBD) are true ​professionals at their craft.

Sponsorship for 4 days of this event is calculated at approximately $12,000. It includes transportation, food and lodging costs and a stipend payment for ​the Magician, his two assistants and the Comedians.


SPONSOR THE “BEDSIDE MAGIC and COMEDY SHOW” event for $12,000. Your name will appear on any and all brochures, fliers and video advertisement ​generated for this event. Your company will receive a Bronze Plaque thanking you for your sponsorship of this AVAFEST event and your logo will be on all ​brochures and fliers. There will be a 20-second ‘Thank You’ video during AVAFEST regular broadcasts on our channel at:

A BENEFIT COMEDY and CONCERT AT ANTONES:


Scheduled for November 10, 2024 ANTONE’S. ANTONE’S is a well known bar and club in ​Austin, Texas where many famous stars and bands have performed. This year, ANTONE'S has ​offered the Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel a special night at their famous club. We ​would like to feature a couple of good bands with veterans in them and a fun comedy show. ​ANTONE'S loves veterans and they are not charging us a single cent for rental of both ​downstairs and upstairs on those dates. However, the personnel who must be present during ​the shows must be paid at a cost of $2,500.00 for that night. ANTONE'S has even agreed to ​advertise our event through their in-house marketing team, but we still want to do advertising ​of our own. We are able to bring in our own food for this event and we are looking for veterans ​who cater or have food trucks to participate; SPONSOR this event for $2,500 to pay personnel ​and $1,500 for marketing at a total of $4,500.


You and/or your company will receive a Bronze Plaque thanking you for your sponsorship of ​this AVAFEST event. Your logo will be on all brochures and fliers. Your organization will be ​thanked with a 20-second video during AVAFEST broadcasts on our channel at: https:// ​veteransartsandwellnessnetwork.org/. This production will be live streamed to our websites ​and select social media pages. Your company’s name and logo as the sponsor will be ​prominent throughout the broadcasts and in later broadcasts of the event on our Veterans Arts ​and Wellness Network ROKU television channel. AVAFEST VETERANS COMEDY SHOWS By BIG AL GONZALEZ:


Big Al is the 2022 and 2024 Director of Comedy for AVAFEST 2024. This year, he is planning shows in Austin and San Antonio, Texas. All of the comedians ​are very funny veterans. The shows are scheduled for October 30 - November 3, 2024 in San Antonio and November 7 - November 12, 2024 in Austin.

VETERANS HEALTH & WELLNESS SEMINAR


The AUSTIN CENTRAL LIBRARY will host this event on October 26, 2024, ​10:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. We would like to be able to provide lunch for the ​participants and organizers of this event. There will be a ‘COOKING FOR ​VETERANS HEALTH’ in the Library’s kitchen by a local chef. Food supplies ​will be needed for that demo and small samples of the food will be shared ​with those who attend this event. We are looking for a sponsors to donate ​items to create a useful Grab Bag for participants also. A donor such as ​SUBWAY or others that would supply about 200 lunch boxes for ​participants and organizers of this all-day event. You and or your company ​will receive a Bronze Plaque thanking you for your sponsorship of this ​AVAFEST event. EXIT12 DANCE TROUPE


The EXIT12 dance troupe was formed by retired US MARINE, Roman Baca. ​The excellent dance troupe is world renowned for its ability to treat ​veterans with PTSD through sound and dance movement, a powerful ​combination. During AVAFEST 2019, Roman Baca and EXIT12 came to ​Austin and presented a program teaching veterans how to use dance ​movements as a source of managing the symptoms of PTSD, and these ​classes were well attended. https://exit12danceco.org/video. ​SPONSORSHIP for the program and dance recital is $12,000.

MARKETING FIRM:

In the past, we acquired a marketing firm that took us under their wings and helped to make our events happen. We ​no longer have that firm. We are hoping that a marketing team or firm will embrace us again this year. We have our ​501 c 3 and are requesting at least $10,000 dollars in services. Your firm/company will receive 10 tickets to any ​AVAFEST event of your choice. In addition, you will receive recognition on our ROKU channel and social media sites ​as a sponsor.

PRINTING:

We are seeking printing donations for posters, fliers, brochures and street light banners for this year’s event to be ​used on CONGRESS Avenue from Cesar Chavez leading to the capitol building if possible. If you are a printing ​company that would like to donate this service to the Veterans Suicide Prevention Channel and AVAFEST 2024, please ​let us know ASAP. We are in need of services to print out our calendar of events for AVAFEST 2024 and have them ​ready to go by the first week of September 2024. In addition, you will receive recognition on our Veterans Health and ​Wellness Network ROKU channel and social media sites as a sponsor.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DONATION and SPONSORSHIP


DONATIONS:

The VSPChannel considers anything below $2,000 to be a donation. All

donations are tax deductible because we are a 501c3 nonprofit organization in good standing

with our current 990N accepted. All donations will receive a thank you letter and a W-9 form for

tax purposes from the VSPChannel at the end of the fiscal year. All donations are deposited

and used by the organization where they are most needed. You may donate to us at different locations on this website.


SPONSORSHIPS:

Sponsorships are more specific and can be given to produce certain

events. They are also subject to receive certain perks and recognitions for sponsorship of

specific events. Perks can be flexible dependent on the amount of the sponsorship and the

sponsor. We have several ways that we can be certain that our sponsors can be recognized for

their contributions to the services we offer to our veteran, military and their families community.

All sponsorships are tax deductible, and sponsors will receive the appropriate documentation

for tax purposes.
